AU Orange County Chapter invites you to join us for our monthly chapter meeting. We meet on the first Saturday of every month at Irvine Water District Headquarters at 15600 Sand Canyon Avenue, Irvine, CA 92618-3102. Our meeting starts at 1:30 PM and social starts at 1 PM. Protecting Your Right to Believe... Or Not
The OC Attorney General's office announced that turkey dinners were hand-delivered to approximately 420 at-risk students who succeeded in a Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership (GRIP) challenge to improve their attendance, behavior, and grades in time for Thanksgiving.
The turkey dinners were donated by Albertsons’ Orange County customers and Saddleback Church as part of the ongoing GRIP gang prevention effort to keep kids in school and out of gangs.
This is an example of a church contributing to the state without religious entanglement. And it provides a synergistic method for church members to practice the principles of their faith through government programs.
Saddleback Church should be recognized for their actions to provide assistance to disadvantaged people. It is a cause that we all share.
